VPAM protection levels VR4 to VR10
The ballistic resistance of vehicle armor is certified to the VPAM guideline in protection levels VR4 to VR10. For civilian executive protection, levels VR7 to VR10 are the most relevant — VR10 is the highest level available in a civilian vehicle. We advise you brand-neutrally on the right protection level for your risk profile.
VR10 protection level — the highest civilian armour
VPAM VR10 is the highest protection level available in a civilian armored vehicle. A VR10 armored car is tested under live-fire conditions to the VPAM guideline — body, glazing and transitions must withstand hard-core and armour-piercing ammunition, certified by state-recognised proof houses.
The difference to VR7 and VR9 lies in the certified threat level: VR7 roughly equals the former B6, while the VR10 protection level covers the highest threats certifiable for civilian use.
